Just been called from this number claiming to be from BT Openreach wanting my Internet details as my security had been compromised. When challenged the caller was rude and hung up on me.This website suggests the phone is based near Greater Manchester but a phone locator website suggests it is based in London. Calling the number back yielded no response.

Fraud Called pretending to be instructed by an United Kingdom Insurance Limited. He spoke very convincingly and was stubborn that the call was "not out of the blue" that he was instructed to call me because they had to transfer funds to me in relation to driving accident that was not my fault. The call was from a VISA fraud checking unit. However the number was the fax number for a garage in Penkridge, Stafford that closed down some time ago. Clearly scammers have cloned the number.

Indian voice claiming to be from BT offering to fix my slow internet for free. I played him a along for a while. He then rang off when I asked him if he was going to install Teamviewer and empty my bank account. Dangerous scam. Beware.

This a scam caller puporting to be from O2 but is not.
Scam and/or phishing attempt. It attempted to get me to message the phone number via WhatsApp. The person had sent an SMS from another number (07566706069) claiming to have dropped their phone down the toilet and that they’d instantly acquired a new phone. They asked me to message specifically via WhatsApp (???). This is the fourth message I’ve had this week, from a variety of unknowns, being asked to message a new number by someone claiming to have lost/damaged their phone.
