Text yesterday ...using unknown name and asking me to contact them....ignored it.....phones today..answer message asking to press 1 if I was the names person or 2 if not.....did neither and blocked number
Asian voice "My name is xxxxxxxx" or any name he has been told to use today. Claimed to be from Sky to renew breakdown insurance. Noise in the background of dozens of other asians shouting the same thing to other people. Clearly a scam to extract money by fraud. Give them their character in words of your choosing then put the phone down. 01456 is a UK code but comes up as international on caller display so the origin of the call has been faked

I got a message through 22:47 on Saturday 01 October saying by account had been suspended also purporting to be from Lloyds bank, strange thing is it showed up in my messages from Lloyds bank so presumably the sender has some way of encoding the text to make it do that. Ignored it and checked the number on this site. If it works the same way for other account holders then Lloyds need to be taking action.
