Called at 5:15pm 6.7.23. Calling about solar panels being installed in your area and are you the owner of the house. I didn't go any further, just said 'Goodbye' and put the 'phone down. I am pretty sure that had I held on they would have wanted to arrange to come and see property about installing solar panels. I class this as 'dangerous' especially if they get through to vulnerable persons.
I don t know anyone in Skipton, so have not called back.

SPAM and FRAUD - Shane called me today about my telephone line reducing my line rental - he said he could see I also had broadband (I don't). He was not from a telephone company - he should be ashamed of himself how does he (and the rest of the Indian callers) sleep at night. Shane from India - stop preying on vulnerable people with your toxic SCAM!

Cold calling scam
SCAM / SPAM Indian call centre with spoofed number. Lots of these calls are blocked by BT Call Protect and/or my number blocking handsets. Best investment I have made though the odd call (usually a new number) gets through. This number was one of the few that did and had a bit of fun wasting their time. Call Guardian blocked this caller. I returned the call on my mobile which was answered by "Calls UK" "customer services" (on a mobile number?!). Apparently we have a "policy" re: nuisance calls and we will be contacted again. I said we don t wish to be contacted again and, in fact, our "policy" is rubbish. She then hung up on me. Obviously a scam = blocked.

Just had a call for this number - an automated message saying it was from HMRC and my name was linked to fraud. I had to press 1 to be connected to an advisor. Failure to do so would mean I would be arrested.....I'll take that risk.
SCAM Apparently my National Insurance Number has been used for illegal activity, and is being suspended. Press 1 to speak to an 'operator'. This scam has been round for quite a while, but could really frighten some people who don't know how government departments work.

Does relate to an account setup. It s a company relates to crypto and it s a courtesy call. Caller is actually in Cyprus not London Dodgy number but thanks BT for allowing such things legal but misleading. Call genuine.
