Call received from this number today, 27 February 2023 @ 10:16. I did not answer, but they left a message, which I felt was an attempt to trick me into responding in order to avoid paying unlawful requests for several hundred pounds. I believe this to be a scam call from someone pretending to be from Amazon.

Hmrc scam call. Says you'll go to jail if you don't pay. Never give bank details or payment details over the phone.
I have no idea how you made this a number from Russia, no idea what or who it is, just rings and hangs up, so blocked. DON'T EVER ring back, if they don't speak it's of no use to you, and is one of the ways to rip you off, because it registers as a live number and they docan sell your number onto other scam lists; and the number can get diverted to a premium number that will cost you serious money, search it before anything else, and report when it's bad.

They should know whose account the transactions were on Second warning sign - As far as I'm aware Visa don't contact people direct, your card issuer will contact you. SCAM call claiming to be from an accident helpline, regarding a "minor road traffic accident" I'd experienced in the past year. I advised I don't drive and they hung up immediately.

Got a call claiming to be from BT Openreach saying our IP Status had been changed from Private to Public and our internet was going to be cut off. It was a very poor quality line in a foreign call center. They weren't able to give me any other details so I ended the call.
