Call from this number. Attempted bank scam "unusual activity, press 1 for further details" etc. Confirmed a scam call by bank.

SCAM Third Chelmsford number blocked today. They hung up when I answered but upon dialling the number displayed, was met with automated message saying CB Brokers or CD Brokers. Suspect it's the same scumbags who have been scamming my elderly mother for a number of years by signing her up for appliance insurance for appliances she doesn't own. This number called me on 28.04.23. Supposedly, a message from my bank to inform that my debit card had been used for suspicious purchases. To cancel the 2 transactions and speak to an agent press 1, which I did. A woman with a very strong foreign accent requested my name, date of birth and address in order to make the cancellation. She then asked for my card sort code, which rang alarm bells. I told her that if she was calling from my bank she should already know that and I would ring them. She hung up.

Got this phone call today, purporting to be from AXA Insurance. After reading other’s comments, have decided to ignore, as the real AXA website has valid phone numbers, if I need to check.

This number called me this morning 10.02 am. What appeared to be recorded message told me that they were speaking from Visa and my card had been used to place an £800 bet in the USA, if this wasn't me press a button on the phone. I hung-up without responding and have confirmed this was not true, another scam.

I’ve just been called from this number claiming to be my credit card fraud check. It mentions two extremely high transactions, not made by me, then to press 1 to authorise or 2 to talk to customer service. I didn’t, I hung up, checked all my cards. No transaction has been attempted. This is a scam call.

Just had a call from 01430860504. Automated message supposedly from my bank. Said there was 2 transactions on my account. £250 to Amazon and £1300 to a money transfer company. I have one of these calls every month. SCAMMERS.

Just has a call from this number stating that is was from the finance department of ******* (did not wait to hear any more as must be a scam). If from a the finance department of a VALID company, would write to you id any problems, NOT phone. Blocked at once.
