A scam call using an official-sounding automated voice saying that HMRC have filed a lawsuit against me and to press 1 to speak to a case officer. HMRC would never use automated calls for such matters. A definite scam.

Steve Star from some company offering legal advice and help. Asked if I d had an accident in the last 2.5 years or if someone in the family had. I asked him for the source of the information on me. He asked me what I meant? I said that if he was saying I had an accident , he must have some information on me and in that case, I had a right to know the source. He said " we help people , that s what we do" then he hung up - very helpful!!

This is Sky. Thanks to those on another forum that said this number is a scam, I didn t answer - now my phone line and broadband are cut off. Sky tried calling my landline and my mobile, but I ignored it - due to those here claiming it was a scam call. IT IS SKY! If you have any doubt, just phone them back on the number they show on your bill, or the Sky website.
