Phoned me twice. Not say anything. Don't know if sound of people in background was real or fake.
Called my aging father and said they were calling about an existing insurance policy for kitchen appliances.. one that we had and it needed renewed. He holds another policy with a well known company and it wasn't them. They were insistent that he had to renew it and he eventually hung up on them.

I had a call from this number and was instantly suspicious. I phone Lloyds (PhoneBank) number to be told that this number belongs to the Lloyds Credit Card Collection department (I had missed a payment due to personal circumstances) and they wanted their money. Like most people, I am suspicious of individuals whose language skills are a lot less than mine and have a heavy accent. This is the second time I've received these unsolicited calls- the first time was from a different number but it's the same scam. The recorded voice message says that it is a call from HMRC regarding tax fraud. You are requested to press 1 to speak to an officer who then calls you back from a listed HMRC number. They inform you that you owe tax & when you ask for details or question why you've not received any written information they become argumentative & threatening.
Lottery scam do not engage.

TAXES / HMRC Automated message. Had similar before. “This is HMRC. You are under investigation for tax fraud. Press 1 immediately to speak to your case officer. Failure to do so immediately will result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.....” I did not press 1, so cannot say what happens if one does.

Asked for details so that I could take action against them. The caller Katherine said she didn t like being shouted at and hung up. Have made a complaint to the TPS
