A chap from a loft insulation company. Seemed genuine but I had my doubts, he didn't tell me what company he was from. He didn't pressure me into buying anything. Just said my loft insulation was inefficient, I just put the phone down and blocked the number.

Missed a call from this number but when I ring back, apparently it doesn't exist. It doesn't for me anymore coz I've blocked it.
I was called by this number today, the automated message told me my amazon prime account had expired and that my credit card would be charged £95 pounds for renewal, if I was unhappy about this, press 1. Sadly for them, (lucky for me) I don't have an amazon prime account, hung up imediately. I received the number 01223933956 this morning. Claimed to be a Sean with a very heavy Indian sub-continent accent, from BT Outreach claiming there were problems with my internet. I engaged with him, to spin him along so he would have less time with more vulnerable people but when he realised what I was doing he became very abusive.

AO aggressive aftersales, using a no-doubt masked number. Female caller asked me to confirm my personal details - I refused given they had called me! It was framed to confirm my order, but was essentially a very sharp practice way to try and sell insurance. I asked if there was an issue with my order - she said 'no' very unconvincingly. Scammer claiming to be from O2, offering to reduce my bill by 30%. Didn't confirm my name, if it matches the account holder name, or any account details besides the phone number (which they'd just called, so duh...). Just started asking for the verification code they send you by text when accessing your account. The one where the message specifically states not to give the code to anyone, even people claiming to be O2 staff... Probably not calling from Edinburgh either, probably a spoofed number.

Red flag that auto - they always talk to you in person - they would also want to check that it was actually the custoner talking to! Another red flag re instruction go press button.
Fraud Called pretending to be instructed by an United Kingdom Insurance Limited. He spoke very convincingly and was stubborn that the call was "not out of the blue" that he was instructed to call me because they had to transfer funds to me in relation to driving accident that was not my fault.
