automated call telling me someone trying to take £7000 out of account to pay some company abroad for wine.Told to press a number,I hung up then.
Got a call from this number again asking for Mr Armstrong but did not say who they were, I told him the Armstrong’s have not had this number for about 4yrs to which he apologised and put phone down. We have been getting calls from this number for about 3yrs, I always the same thing as we do not know anyone with that name and they always call again!!
Apparently they say they are from BES energy supplier wanting a meter reading-can anyone confirm this?

SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. There is no point in reporting to the TPS or OFCOM these numbers that any scammer can buy. The telecoms company Magrathea That sold this number also supply a list of phone numbers to call. You are on that list if this number phoned you. Best is to get something like a Panasonic KX-TGJ420E and block all 0203 calls. And leave a Google Maps review for the telecoms company.

Phoned my landline on 20 Jan. 2023 pertaining to be from Amazon Prime and stating that they had taken £94 from my bank account. I was offered a number of options to query this but hung up as it was obviously a hoax call. Amazon Prime would not contact in this way. They tried again on 21 Jan., this time from a different number 01216834924.

Received a call 14th Feb 2023. It showed up as suspected spam but call ended quickly whilst I was still thinking about whether to answer.
