There s something very screwy about this number. They ve just tried to call on my landline, it rang three times and then cut off. Immediately I was called on one of my mobiles by the same number but the problem is it wasn t the number I have currently registered with Santander, it s one that was removed from my account about a week ago. When I tried to call back I got a recorded message saying Santander tried to call. I don t know if this is a scam or not but it s a real nuisance.

This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers, phishing for bank account details). SCAM I copied this from HMRC Website today 18/03/21 HMRC is aware of an automated phone call scam which will tell you HMRC is filing a lawsuit against you, and to press 1 to speak to a caseworker to make a payment. We can confirm this is a scam and you should end the call immediately. This scam has been widely reported and often targets elderly and vulnerable people.
