If you speak then the line is detected as 'a voice line' and logged, a scammer will then call you later! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead - then you have just successfully escaped being scammed! Well done. THESE CALLS ARE HARASSING AND ARE ALWAYS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!
Someone called "John" with a strong Indian accent supposedly calling form Virgin Media about my broadband speed. If you dial this number it gets you to Leeds General Infirmary...

"Anyone have any numbers I can use to call this scum. " No. They use VOIP and number cloning, so what pops up on your phone isn't the number being called from. Go and learn about the Indian national industry on Youtube by watching Jim Browning, or Pierogi, or Scammer payback, then when you've gained some knowledge, tell all your friends and family in order to help them not lose money. If you choose not to bother to learn and not to bother to share what you learn, you're part of the problem.

Amazon scam from Asian call centre. Supposed fraudulent transaction on my Amazon account. Asked me to give six number code sent to me in SMS from Amazon - This was my two step verification code to change my password. All they need to get this sent to you is your Amazon account linked phone number. I did of course refuse.

Banking Automated call 'This is bank security ' alleging two card transactions on account. As there is less than £100 in the account, this seems highly unlikely. Simply hung up at this point, but such calls are annoying and potentially dangerous. Have cheçked with my bank in the past, who assure me they would never make such a call

I get repeated calls from this number, which I don't answer. I do not know who the caller is. They always leave a blank voice message of a few seconds with no one speaking. I assume it is a telemarketer given the number of calls, and short messages with no voice.,

They should know whose account the transactions were on Second warning sign - As far as I'm aware Visa don't contact people direct, your card issuer will contact you. Just been called from this number claiming to be from BT Openreach wanting my Internet details as my security had been compromised. When challenged the caller was rude and hung up on me.This website suggests the phone is based near Greater Manchester but a phone locator website suggests it is based in London. Calling the number back yielded no response.
