Scam scam scam. Computer voice said it was from HMRC and I need to press 1 to pay some money regarding a fraud in my name. If I don't then I would have the police coming round for my arrest. Was very laughable because it had no details about me. Just hang up people.

SCAM / SPAM This was an automated message stating that I had an outstanding tax case against me and I should press 1 now to be put through to an advisor. If I didn't press 1, then the case would be forwarded to the authorities and I would be arrested shortly. I did nothing and the call just died, and so far have not been arrested. This is a very dangerous scam that is threatening and could scare some vulnerable people, into doing something.

Call center: Indian sounding lady called me and asked for me by name. I asked why she was calling & she said again "Are you Mrs ****?" . I asked who wanted to know. She didn't say. Told her to hurry up as I was about to go out and she hung up. Other people have said this number is someone claiming to be from Domestic & General about an expired washing machine warranty.

Clearly reading from a set script, asking about my home improvements - when firmly pushed, said the 'company' was "Homes Advice". Call appears to be from North of Manchester, nowhere near me. I used ring back - not a good idea on reflection. The male voice asked my name and so I asked his. He said "Roger". I felt this was a bit inadequate and so asked again at which point he got stroppy: "I ve told you". I hung up.
