Called and said they were conducting a survey as a part of TfL. Very strange sounding man asked to speak to the youngest in the household and asked when his birthday was. Told to not call again and hung up. Bizarre and creepy, especially close to the holidays when they know children will be home from school.

As with most other comments, single ring then hung up. Did not call back. Weird thing was, this call came in on my company mobile, the number for which is only given out to colleagues and a few family members. I ve never used it to sign up for anything so no idea how they got it. Assume auto dialler?

I m getting really sick of these calls now. I am registered with TPS but am called both on my mobile and home number. I actually pressed 5 to speak with someone and she just put the phone down on me. How can these telesales people do this all day long - what a sad life...The TPS obviously has no power what-so-ever...

I just received a call from this number on my work iPhone (how did they get my number?!). I ignored the call, Googled the number, reached this page. Based on these comments, I have blocked the number using my iPhone software.

This is HSBC s fraud department number and the call was genuine.

AMAZON - trying to find out if this is SPAM, they rang me saying there was international activity on my account and text me a verification code to my phone asking me to read it out. I said i wasn't happy to carry on the call as I don't know they are who they say they are.
