Guy called from 03451128876 today 27/06/2018 claiming to be with BT; "just wanting to see if there was a better deal they could offer me." Knew my name. Lot of background noise. I politely interrupted his spiel to advise him that I'd already received similar calls from his colleagues in the past and that I was perfectly happy with my present deal. He equally politely said that was OK and wished me a good day. Possibly a scam (?) but I'm not going to take the conversation far enough to find out.

Called to say, he was from a claims department, sounded like a Spanish accent or maybe Portuguese. As there are no claims this household made, this sounds like a marketing call, or worse fraud.

After answering, the caller hung up. I returned the call and got a dead line response, suggesting this number is a scam of some sort. My advice would be to ignore or block this number and not to phone it back. If it is legitimate they would have left a message.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1622370xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with insurance marketing - classical accident chasers, RTA. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

I called back (with a 141 prefix of course) and a recorded messgase stating that I could claim for delayed flights within past 6 years. Now blocked! For those that want to block these calls, install a free package on your phone called TRUECALLER. You can block any number plus it will tell you who is calling even if you don't have that number in your phone. It searches the number through its dbase and highlights the name.
