Missed call -This number called me a few times and when I finally answerred they called me by my first name, I asked if I knew them and they said that the connection was bad and that they would call back, they called back 3 times but I didnt answer.

Tried to sell me loft insulation, told he I ve got recently on a grant. Then went onto cavity wall insulation,, can t have that done, not got proper cavity walls. Then tried to sell me external cladding insulation. Told her to sod off and I would be reporting the call as a nuisance. She then went on to try and sell me a new gas boiler.
When I answered the call a man said he was calling from a security company which installed alarms etc - I said I was not interested and he said ok and I switched off phone. It was to my mobile number which I have only given to friends and family - cannot understand how I am now getting calls on this phone mainly from phones which appear to be in the North of England. Lots of times no-one answers but equally I do not answer most of them as presume they are scams

A scam call (standard visa dept suspicious payments scam) told me his name is Oliver Reed and I should call 02081447612 which he said was the number for "Nat West Anti Fraud Dept." I checked, it isn't. So I suspect the number is to the third-level scam master.

Another call purporting to be from Virgin Media saying my security is at risk. I put the phone down but telling them beforehand that I was putting the phone down.
Automated message in poor English purporting to be from the Bank of England and saying that your National Insurance number is about to be terminated. Who knows, or even cares, why? This is one from a whole list of numbers carrying the same message, some from Russia and some from Manchester.

Very aggressive recorded message on my mobile from 02085646318 from a female saying I had criminal proceedings about to be actioned against me and to press 1 for more information. I did not of course. I am not is such a situation nor do I respond to incoming recorded messages. It was quite upsetting to have the call though, and could have been very frightening if a more fragile person had taken the call. I am aware legitimate people would not use such a method to contact anyone.

I was told there was tax fraud and if I did not press one a warrant would be issued for my arrest immediately

Fairly well spoken Man claiming I had just called him from my number. Repeatedly asked me for my name when I kept telling him that I hadn’t called him he kept asking me who he was speaking to! Told him I wouldn’t give him my name as he had called me and not the other way round. He went way in the end. Not sure if it was a genuine mistake on his part but I’d certainly not called anyone snd double checked my phone, but he was determined to try and get my name.
