This shower of conmen tried to pass themselkves off as British Gas claiming that I had not responded to their contract letter. When I told them I was recording them and they were not British Gas they denied claiming to be so and hung up. Them them to go forth and multiply themselves.

It's a fraud scam. They've somehow got a list of people who have purchased white goods and they're calling them to tell them the warranty has expired. Received a call today from "Martin" who claimed to be from TPS, confirmed my phone number (which he rang to), my name and address and then asked me to confirm my expiry date for credit/debit card - when posed the question "why" he needed to know financial details for a free service, he suggested It was for verification purposes - I declined and asked from which company he was calling, at which point the phone went dead - SCUM!
