SCAM, called from a different number first saying he is calling from curry’s pc world and offering mobile phone upgrade at very cheap price. I suspected fraud, so asked for the company details so I can check and call back . Was given this number. When I called ,instead of going through switch board options, someone answered straight away saying “ curry’s mobile phone company, how can I help?” I knew straight away it was a scam, a few fraudsters working together pretending to be a company.

I'm not too certain about the caller, as he started off by saying both my Company name & personal name, & he'd obviously "done his homework" as when I asked him who was calling, he said the name of my provider. Unfortunately he spoke at the speed of sound, so when I asked, he said he'd speak slower, but then the line disconnected, so I didn't get to find out whether the caller was genuine or not. AO aggressive aftersales, using a no-doubt masked number. Female caller asked me to confirm my personal details - I refused given they had called me! It was framed to confirm my order, but was essentially a very sharp practice way to try and sell insurance. I asked if there was an issue with my order - she said 'no' very unconvincingly. I then asked if it was a service or a sales call - very reluctant to answer so hung up. I think this sort of pseudo cold calling does businesses such as AO.com reputational
