They never said who they were or asked if I was the person they were trying to contact and further investigation showed that calls to this number cost 16p a minute from a landline plus a setup fee of 23p.

Someone just called from this no. claiming to be from Amazon. They were female with a strong Indian accent. Said someone had tried purchasing a Canon camera on my account last night in Germany. None of my personal details were confirmed with me and they wouldn't let me ask any questions. Obviously their tactic is to rush you in to the "cancellation" process as it's urgent. Have been changed from Virgin to 02 a month ago amp just got my 02 bill amp had been charged for sms messages to the above number over 3 different days while in Mexico totalling 12 texts which I know I hadnt sent amp some of the times they were sent was when I was asleep So even if I had done it in my sleep there would be evidence in my messages which there isnt Didnt text or call from my phone as I knew I would be charged while away 02 couldnt explain what had happened bit they did refund the money
