they tried to pretend to be HMRC and then threatened me when i informed them of their lies and the legal implications... pretending to be HMRC is a criminal offence. these scamers need shutting down, first call was a robot saying HMRC then i called and found out they were lying.... We were plagued by this number in many different guises one member of staff being threatened and told that is was the local police. we were sent very very poor copies of magazines, we made a decision to call a random sample of other ads and EVERY ONE claimed thay had been scammed, these people prey on small businesses who can neither afford to lose the initial amount and even less so can afford to take these scum to court.
Seems to be automated, rings my number then after about seconds a computer generated voice says goodbye and cuts off.
Said my life insurance needed to be upgraded as it hadn't been reviewed for 18 months. I said I don't have life insurance, they said I don't know how you got onto our system, then got spiel about how important it is to have some and only costs £6 a

Didn't catch callers name or company but said they'd been instructed by the Insurance Bureau to call me about a rear-end collision with a Vauxhall in 2015. Got angry when I swore and accused him of being a bogus caller. Scammers.
