They called today at approx. 18.14. They wait until you say hello, then after a few seconds, they hang-up. When you ring back they say that they are a company blocking nuisance calls, but, I guess if they were, they wouldn t be doing it themselves and they would probably try and sell you something, not just hang-up

Not sure.. but I got an automated message when I answered to tell me that my Insurance number had been compromised and I should press 1 before they take action. I hung up. Sounds like a scam !!!!

Phoned today at12.15 pm. Fairly gruff voice. Purportedly from BT. Asked me to confirm that I had been in touch with BT this morning. As I had, I said yes. There was some hesitation and a lot of background noise. I asked what he wanted. He asked if contact was by phone or mail (I think). I replied that the contact was on the internet and he abruptly ended the call.

caller identified herself as Jennifer (Asian sounding voice) & said she was calling from BT & there was a problem with my computer & my service was about to be cut off. I was slightly concerned since I have a BT broadband account & was using my laptop at the time, but the tone of the call felt bogus so I hung up & checked number via Google.
The same mob as several other land line (Ashford Kent) and mobile no's either say from BBC, Black pearl, or some other PPI mob.
SCAM Recorded message that I am being investigated for tax fraud. Press 1 for them to harvest my financial information or there will be a warrant out for my arrest. Hung up.
SCAM - automated message purporting to be from Amazon about suspicious activity on my account. £1000 has been paid for an Iphone11. Press1 if you made the purchase, press 2 to speak to ......I hung up.
I did not understand the caller as he had a peculiar accent. Became rude when I asked him to repeat.
