They claimed they were from Virgin Media and phoning about internet problems.
Got an automated call from this number stating that its from HMRC and that there is a Tax Fraud registered against my name and I needed to press 1 otherwise I would be arrested shortly. I hung up straight away as I am certain that's not how HMRC operates.

01772 333348 has rung me loads of times, even at 6.20 am There is only ever a bleeping sound, nobody ever speaks. When you put the phone down the line is blocked for a few minutes afterwards. Whoever they are, and whatever they want, this is unacceptable and constitutes harassment.

Call center -operative claimed to be from Virgin Media Technical Services; said he needed me o take my (landline phone) into the room with the computer, then turn it on, so he could do something to my router, to "give me the speed [I] was paying for". I've had at least four calls from these guys (with heavy Asian accents, to the point of not being able to be understood); it is the same script, but the calls have come from a number of different phone numbers in the West Midlands. James rang me a couple of weeks ago saying we needed to renew our Google Business package with him - thought it was a bit dodgy as we paid a two yr subs with another company a year or so ago. Contacted the bona-fide company and they said its a scam and to prove it to ask him if he knows my Google Business password. Yet to speak to him, so will be doing so!
