SCAM. The caller was a woman claiming to be based in Cape Town, South Africa. She further claimed to be from the energy company – E.ON – that supplies me with electricity. She knew or guessed my first name, and asked for confirmation of details of my name and mailing address. However, she did NOT ask for – nor did she receive – my e˗mail address, my account number, or any bank or credit card or debit card details. Furthermore, she did not ask for immediate payment. Have nothing to do with this number.

Awaiting callback from my GP when this call came. Male caller talked about a free medical emergency pendant, but implied that there was a paid membership. It increasingly sounded like a sales call and I couldn't really see how this related to my medical issue. He asked about my willingness to give a testimonial, talking about medical response times, peace of mind for family - I was becoming further mystified as to why I was being called. Suspicious.

Just hang up as there is no identification to suggest they are real and there are no confirmed names or card details to ensure it is you or your card. All very open to you giving them more information should you decide to press any buttons and engage with them!

SCAM - I had the same call (01970607650 - 11/5/2022, 14:36) as several people before me, medical alert company, entitled to an alert pendant, wanting to ask me questions. I said wait, I wanted to ask him questions, where was he calling from, um...Dorset, then he started his spiel again. So I asked where he got my name from and why he thought I was entitled to a medical pendant, and he hung up. BE VERY CAREFUL - THIS GUY IS PREYING ON VULNERABLE PEOPLE!!!

When I rang it back (02045 385857) it rang & rang. but no reply. It was not a normal ring for the UK but a ring for abroad. This made me think it was the middle of the night somewhere. I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. Getting so fed up with calls from this number, and others including what appear as mobiles, telling me that my "home appliance insurance" with them has expired, or is about to expire, and asking for my bank details so that it can be renewed. Very strange that the company insuring me (they're not, of course) has no idea what appliances I have. Calls coming 2-4 times each day.

The pains of being ripped off by these heartless scammers who pose as binary investment company , mine started with a female investor who I became close friends with in a few months after we started chatting , she was nice and the sweetest person to talk to , she talked me into investing she sweet talked me into trusting her and the said company and investing a wholesome amount into this company .By the time It dawned on me that all this was a trick and a scheme to get in my pocket I already lost over $500
This number is clearly a scam stating taxes are owed & legal proceedings will be started. 1. The terminology (& robotic voice) is American. 2. HMRC will never phone you. They will message you to go to your on-line account.
