SCAM / HARRASSING Very thick Indian accent, supposedly calling from "the technical department". They hung up when I questioned how they got my phone number. They've phoned six times this morning and I had to physically unplug my phone to get it to stop.

i just received a phone call from 01616572740 with an automated voice telling me I was being investigated for tax fraud and if I didn't press "1" straight away I would be arrested.
They phoned me to say they were Microsoft Specials. Told me my PC had a fault - possibly Virus Infected - and first tried to access my PC via Teamviewer. This did not work so i was told to visit www.ammyy.com. Here they did gain access and I sat back to watch the mouse pointer open and close multiple files etc. Much file info was Transfered and after sometime they phoned again to ask if the PC now worked faster,,,,Answer was, "NO". Keep getting calls and spoof texts, they claim to be Scottish Power but they are not. They tell me my number is linked o a SP account but I rang SP from their website number and they have advised me there is no account with my number. I cannot make them stop so having to change my number. It been happening for months but I ignored them until it ramped up to daily.

Woman called us (despite being registered with TPS, for what it's worth). She did not identify herself or their company clearly, and fired a barrage of questions at us, despite our refusal to interact with her. She said she could not remove our number from their database as "she hadn't completed her interaction with us, so we'd just receive further calls!". Her tone was extremely aggressive.
