Called claiming we had requested a quote for Windows, doors, fascia, soffit and gutters. When I questioned the caller Dave he knew nothing about the the industry and could confirm any basic information about the company, in the fact company name changed between the start and end of the conversation. I did question how this company had come to obtain our mobiles and once again no answer other than we will take you off our data list. I wanted to hold to speak with a manager and was told I was asking too many

Goes through phases of calling several times a week, then nothing for a couple of months. Doesn't take "not interested" as a reason to stop calling. Most of the time the number is from Bournemouth, but occasionally from Bristol - supposedly, because spoofing numbers isn't difficult. They don't seem bothered by calling a TPS number either, which adds to the 'number being spoofed' theory.
Fraud, I think. Claimed to be from HMRC
They phoned me at 6.35pm claimed I had been in a recent car accident when I don't drive. Plus when they were talking he was laughing at the same time.
