Needless to say , I hung up and did a ‘Who called me’ phone number search, which showed it was from the Portsmouth area, I wasn’t aware that AMAZON was based in the UK, let alone Portsmouth. Normally they call me from different Aberdeen Numbers, so now they're trying to catch me out by phoning me from Dumfries. My phone flagged this as possible spam. I blocked the number. Voice mail. Female voice said they were taking my number off the list. No i/d.
Someone called my landline on this number about 0815 this morning and it woke me up! No message left. It is a similar number to a couple of calls I have received this week. The previous callers claimed to be from BT, saying there was a problem with my broadband connection - which there isn’t and I told them so. It is likely a scam to get you to give information so they can hack into your system.
