Claimed to be from British Gas, but wouldn't say the purpose of call before I gave my security details, which I never give to a caller if I'm unsure of their identity. My guess is genuine but still unsolicited call, and they shouldn't expect my security details.

Various numbers starting with 02394 have called since 29 March 2023 Conversations include: "This is not a Marketing call, blah, blah" "Survey of Loft insulation, blah,blah" "When first caller was asked where speaker was calling from, answer was "The Phillipines"(Sp ?) When subsequent callers have been asked the same question the line has 'dropped out' from the far end! Make your own decision!

I asked for a house price quote via Zoopla and this William H Brown number called me. This company was one of the three from which I requested a quote, so no issue with that. Problem is I live overseas, which is why I stated I wanted to be contacted by email. Even WhatsApp would do. But that's the way they operate. They like to be in your face.

If this is as others say ..Everest. that company went bust in 2019 and is now called everest 2020. They still owe or Chapel more than 4k deposit back. I have had this number blocked since last year because it kept ringing and there was nothing there . It just came up again as a blocked call today.. and yesterday. It was not ghe number I had as a contact for Everest or Everest 2020.

Randomly called said she was from sky and said our internet is slow. Tried to get us to download and app called quick support. This app allows people to remotely access your phone. Very dangerous as the can get so many details this way. We questioned her and she hung up. Called back and metro express answered, Im guessing this number is used for numerous amounts of scams. You are then played a recorded message that is designed to keep you on the line as the call is charged at over a £1 per minute. So you end up paying for the scam and your phone company probably won't help as you made the call willingly.
