Just received a call from an Indian sounding chap called Charles . Asked me to confirm if I was receiving a high volume of telemarketing calls, and that he could help. Gave me the 0845 number, and told me to call for a box to plug in to the phone for ?1 something per month. I asked him to hold on for a moment, muted the call, put it on speaker and just left the phone on the desk while I carried on with my work. Mark Bates is a specialist Insurance Broker for over 50 s and disabled people. They are a no threat caller if you re not interested ask to be removed from the re caller list. Polite genuine business that I have dealt with and had no problems for a number of years. A no hard sell telemarketer.

I had a call on 1/30/2023 from 44+ 0141 628 5948 and the phone number I was a scam they was trying to see what company I was with on my sim card and they was trying to get my bank details because they said my iPhone been hacked and I need a new one and they wanted my bank details.

Received many calls from same number but just the last digit changes. It is an automated message saying that they are HMRC and that a tax fraud claim is made against me, that I should press 1 and talk to a representative otherwise I will be arrested shortly. It is so annoying as to how they get my number, i have had so many unsolicitored calls recently. Who is selling my information, I am so carefull in completing any online applications with my sensitive details?

Claiming to be from Amazon asking whether I wanted to cancel or continue a subscription. Could only provide me with the initial and surname. Couldn't tell me the name of the initial. i.e. J. Brown, but couldn't tell me what the 'J' stood for. Indian accent, obvious scam.
