Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. I was absolutely sure I hadn't registered on the site by mistake as all my information was there. Funny enough he could not give me the date of my supposed registration! The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Many calls from this and similar numbers to my (unused so number never given out) landline. In the past hour I've had 6 calls, their last two digits have changed each time but the rest is the same. As soon as the answer machine kicks in they hang up.

This number called my mobile then disconnected after 2 rings. I called it back and an automated voice in an irritating American accent said "Hi. Thanks for calling. Please hold while we connect you". After hearing this for 5 times in quick succession, I hung up and blocked the number. I'm guessing a spam or scam caller.

SCAM claimed to be calling from O2. Hung up immediately knowing they were not legit. Instantly got texts from 'O2 UK' sending a OTP which I never requested. Noted that previous texts were from 'O2UK' (no space).

Text came in claiming to be from Tide. Spam or scam asking you to ring on 03450348671. Saying you've authorized a payment to Curry's for £1899.
Number shown was a 01189 local number so i picked it up. No answer and the it hung up. Dialed 01471 to retieve number but, it actually was 018731006? meaning this was a scam caller.
