When I picked up the phone I could hear a recorded voice gabbling on about pensions. It was the same as I got last week on a different number. It was also the second nuisance call in one morning. I was trying to get ready for an appointment.

PPI Calls from South African using Tel. No. 0161 814 2295, 0162 284 5443, etc and nearly drove me around the bend calling up to 6 times daily.

This number seemed to be a crossed line as lady on the phone was talking to someone else although the other persons voice was muffled.

Received 8 calls from this number today - very aggressive female callers - claimed they I had taken out PPI. When I challenged back and asked for details they wanted me to provide them with personal details.

I usually don t answer numbers I don t know (as I get a lot), but I felt like answering this time. A bloke with a northern accent asked for Mr Chin . I told him I don t know that name (as it s not my name and I know no one of that name.) The man on the phone then asked: "Are you hiding him?" I told him no and I don t know that person and then I hung up. I ve had my mobile number since I was a young teenager (10+ years). Calling from Bewiser re my car insurance. Asked me to confirm my details and gave me an old reg plate from 2 years ago. I hung up.

Said calling about an RTA. When i said I don t drive they asked if it was someone else in the house. This follows damage to the property but not by a known driver. Is the insurer HOmeprotect passing on details?

I had a call today. There was a big pause and I could hear all this chatter in the background, then they said they were BT, I am not even with BT, I hung up.

so far these scammers have phoned me 4 days in a row, 6 on day 1, 3 times day 2, twice yesterday and so far twice today.. When they actually do speak or you hear something.. its either a recording telling you your about to be disconnected from BT and press 1 to connect to bt.. premium rate number.. or you get a indian claiming to be from bt, or they just keep saying hello before putting the phone down.
