I told them to f*** off and they hung up. l suspect this was an interactive robot speaking, very believable and spoke good english but didn t recognise my long winded response for not been involved in any car accident .

Just received a call from this number, a female with an American accent, who wanted to ask a few questions (a survey, not selling anything). Asked where she got my number (we are with TPS) and she said BT. I explained there s no way BT would give out (or sell) a number registered with TPS. I explained it s illegal to coldcall TPS-registered numbers. I asked if she was calling from the US, she said no, it s a UK company but the call is being made from an offshore address. I said goodbye.
They just hang up once call is answered.
SCAM - claimed to be from Virgin Media and they my IP address was being used for fraudulent activity and could I conform how many devices were connected. When I asked them to confirm my account number to verify they were indeed from Virgin they put the phone down.
