Annoying and but entertaining for some ten minutes. They are going to phone back when I have found the the documents with my correct car number on as they think he one I gave must be wrong and i hadn't got them to hand!

Called claiming to be from virgin media. Asked to press ctrl and r on your computer. This is the start of the process to allow remote access. I'm aware of someone who did this and then had an attempt to have internet banking set up. Someone else had their bank account emptied after doing what they asked. I told them I wasn't prepared to do anything as was aware of scams from people claiming to be calling from virgin media. They hung up straightaway then.
