This text message number - on an EE network according to this site - purports to be informing me that there has been a problem processing my VODAPHONE payment and asks me to click a on a link. I had a call from 0161 524 5263 but the caller rang off before I could get to my phone. Within seconds the phone rang again, this time showing 020 4538 7049. I thought it all must be some sort of scam so didn't answer and no messages were left.

Told me I had an accident in my car. This was news to me, maybe I did it in my sleep. Scam of some sort. They called themselves Acadamy Legal or something like that. This number is a local code to me, so I assume they can use local exchanges to fool you into trusting them more.

i missed a call from this number today i live in ireland when i rang back i was told the number is not in service
SCAM - very unpleasant call. Recorded message on voicemail (electronic voice) said if I didnt answer I would be arrested immediately. So far no arrest, so looks like I havent woken up in a dystopian nightmare where the police issues threatening electronic messages for 'criminals' afterall. Could be very frightening for some.
