This number rang "advising" that £750.00 had suddenly appeared on our Amazon A/C - scam!
I didn't, and please don't answer calls from unknown numbers like this. Type the number into Google afterwards and see what comes up... If it's an 'unexpected call' you've had, then likely it's a Spam/Scam call. Wait them out and look it up after ... If it's an elderly relative who mentions they've been getting these calls, please tell them to ignore it. If anyone important calls they will generally always leave a voice mail you can get back to anyway.

I'm not too certain about the caller, as he started off by saying both my Company name & personal name, & he'd obviously "done his homework" as when I asked him who was calling, he said the name of my provider. Green Energy Together asking for a 25% upfront payment to secure our solar panel installation, they didn't introduce themselves properly so I didn't trust them and told them I'd rather stick to the agreement to pay on the day as originally agreed. They said I'd receive a confirmation email for the new install date but I didn't so I suspect this was a fraud caller.

I was called from 01733385646 and because I come from Peterborough I answered it. It was an automated voice stating that there had been a number of charges made against a card, going on to say that one was for Amazon. They were so obviously not from any bank as they did not say which bank, card, etc., Therefore I just put the phone down. When I tried to call the number back it went dead as if not recognised. Thus I conclude that this could be a scam!

Rang pretending to be from my bank - starts with an automated message stating a large amount of money has been requested from account & if not authorised, press 1. Person then answers but does not know name/details etc & tries to get you to give details. Be really careful with this number - clearly fraudsters/scammers.

SCAM - Claimed to be calling from Carphone Warehouse Limited. Second call from that business today, from two separate numbers. Wanted to discuss my account. I am not a customer of that business.
SCAM Presented themselves as an online competition for a DELL laptop through The Warehouse New Zealand. They asked for an entry fee to get our bank card number, took the entry fee then 3 days later took more money.
