These just called me saying they were calling about my Audi. I don t own an Audi. That finished that call!

I tried to book a room at The Principal Oxford Spires Hotel, Abingdon Road, OX1 4PS, Oxford and called a number 08448542910 indicated on their website. I had to call twice as there was an automated telephone service and no one was able to answer my phone calls. Last month I saw a charge of 1.38 GBP plus VAT on my phone bill!! What a wrong way to make money!! Looks like the hotel is doing that badly so they have to charge potential customers to simply book a room. According to the reviews on the above number

CHECKING MY BANK STATEMENT I FOUND A DEBIT OF ?99.99 FROM A FREE TIME CD. I RANG THE BANK WHO WERE VERY HELPFUL AND FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS FROM A PURCHASE I HAD MADE ABOUT A MONTH EARLIER. AFTER I PUT THE PHONE DOWN AND GOOGLED THE NUMBER I FOUND THIS WEBSITE. I TOO MADE A PURCHASE OF SPACE BAGS AND REMEMBER RECEIVING THE PHONE CALL AND THE HOLIDAY BROCHURE BUT CAN T RECALL ANY MENTION OF A CHARGE IF I DIDN T DECLINE THE OFFER OF THEIR SERVICES....WHAT A SCAM. I get at least three calls a day from this company who transmit automated tele-marketing messages about me qualifying for a government funded boiler. The number is 01604 761440.Most of the messages go to my answerphone and while on holiday recently they completely filled my recording space. I am TPS registered and they still persist in calling so I will be taking further action. Clearly this company is breaking the law and I am feeling both harassed and agitated by the annoyance.
