Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 7098710xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with silent calls/testing robocalls, PPI - insurance marketing calls and energy companies offers - wide scope call centre. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

The guy on the other end said something about being from the Football pools company, so I m sure it was Vernons like someone else had reported (they likely have my number from joining their casino ages back I can only assume) Since I haven t used them in years no idea why they are calling since I ve never done the Football pools EVER and have no plans to! SCAM This was a call from a Asian male who stated he works for Carphone warehouse in West London. He stated that he was given my number because he was given my details by either Three, Vodaphone, EE, 02 and lebara. He stated that there was a contract with these organisation that granted Carphone warehouse the contact details of the customers of the above networks. I questioned him about how he was able to obtain my number, but he was unable to provide any information on how he obtained it legally.
