Received a call but then it gets cut off, its from 02038597401 the man explains its from Passport Office. Not sure tried to call it back and its saying they are but I did call the acutal British Passport office and they have told me that this number is FRAUD! so do not give any information of yours! to 02038597401 this is a fraudulent number. It's the 'the warranty on your washing machine has expired' scam. They will ask you to set up a direct debit, hoping to get your bank details. Quite persistent. If you play gormless and keep them talking you will stop them phoning someone else!

Received a payment request email from Paypal for £650 with message stating "Fraudulent activity found, amount £649.99 GBP has been debited from your account for a purchase of DECATHLON GIFT CARDS, if it's not you reach us immediately @ +44-800-368-9784". As this email was directly from PayPal, i checked my account and the request for payment was actually true, however the message on the request is false and the number is fake. This number is NOT Paypal and is a scam.
Strange voicemail left, someone repeating a garbled word or two then laughing. Background sound like a call centre. I haven't any idea who it was or if they were even speaking English.

I have twice received calls last week from somebody (Roger, I think) claiming to be from SSE. He wanted to talk about a new contract. He didn’t specify whether it was gas or electricity. He first asked for somebody who has not worked here for several years. I asked him to send the new prices by email. He seemed upset by this very simple request and claimed it was impossible. I told him to call back later in the week when he had sent the email. He did from this number and came out with the same drivel

SCAM, I rcvd a call from a guy who claimed he was from BT and that we had a problem with our line etc. Sadly for him we have nothing to do with BT and when I confronted him & had a go at him and asked him never to call our number again he called me a ba.....rd.
