Immediate hang up on answering I assume it's a spoof or phasing call as we are on the telephone preference list and ex directory .

Said they were from Carphone Warehouse offering a brand new phone for only £35 per month. Stayed on the call with them and I told them my D.O.B (I gave a fake one) when they asked for my contact details. They then asked for my D.O.B again to which I gave a completely different date which did not phase the man on the other end of the line. So I strung him on for as long as I could before hanging up as I couldnt think of a fake address to give. Next time Ill have one ready! :) This number is a scammer.
Don't know who it was, they didn't leave a message, I didn't answer the phone because I was preparing lunch. Have now blocked the number because on another site over 600 people received a call today.
Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft saying that they've detected a problem with my computer and asked if I can switch on my computer. I refused and challenged them; caller eventually put me onto their "supervisor" and he asked me if I understood the nature of this call from Microsoft today but I told him that I didn't believe he was and he said "OK then f**k off" and I replied "Likewise" and hung up. Recorded femail voice says that there has been some illegal activity on my internet - and I will be cut of..... etc. so press 1 to speak to advisor. IGNORE. New twist. If you just wait (that is don't press anything) an Amarican male voice comes on 'Thank you for your response (which has been nothing just to waste their time) ... you are now being transferred....' at this point I hung-up. The numbers are spoofed (not UK town Northwich).
SCAM Phone call from someone claiming to work for Carphone Warehouse offering new promotion where they can undercut my current phone deal with the same minutes, texts and data. When he asked how he knew what deal I was on and did he know who he was talking to he said no. I then advised him that he was in breach of GDPR/PECR rules by making an unsolicited marketing call to a number and person that he didn't know and did not have permission to contact (I work in compliance). He hung up pretty quickly

09/12/20 This number rang us this morning at 11.25am and left a threatening-sounding message to contact their executive about loss of our internet connection. Our internet provider would not contact us this way.

SCAM! Be careful, I was called with an offer from ‘Currys Carphonewarehouse’ to reduce my mobile sim cost while upgrading the data and minutes allowance and the scammers already had a lot of my personal information including the monthly cost of my current sim plan. The dodgy email account they sent me a confirmation email from was [email protected]. They also called me on 07842778977, 07843577187 & 07848628655. Another landline number associated with the scammers is 02034042911.
