SCAM Called received today no one speak and cuts off

Received text quoting my name incorrectly asking me to ring about an appointment made for me. No knowledge of it so left well alone, anticipate it to be a scam.
Taken bank details from elderly mother saying they will send a call blocker to stop unwanted calls.
Number not recognised by me - hung up during screening with no message left - blacklisted & blocked - bye bye!
Unknown with the number 01206 688002 - soon as I answered my mobile, they hung up. I won t be ringing them back.
