SCAM - caller claimed to be from British Gas wanting to book me in for a boiler service. She didn't ask for anyone here by name so I didn't engage, just ended the call & blocked the number. I rang British Gas using the genuine number from their website - they confirmed that no-one's called me today.

SCAM. The caller was a woman claiming to be based in Cape Town, South Africa. She further claimed to be from the energy company – E.ON – that supplies me with electricity. She knew or guessed my first name, and asked for confirmation of details of my name and mailing address. However, she did NOT ask for – nor did she receive – my e˗mail address, my account number, or any bank or credit card or debit card details. Furthermore, she did not ask for immediate payment. Have nothing to do with this number.

I was called by this number at 08:18 this morning by someone claiming to be "Amazon Prime" (recorded message) and invited to be transferred to cancel a subscription ('press 1'). The person then asked for my details and, when questioned, told me that it is not possible to contact Amazon directly or my bank over this. The conversation stank so I discontinued the call.

Pre recorded Scam call relating to unexpected withdrawals from a bank account. No name or bank mentioned. Asked for me to press 1 to confirm. That's a giveaway (red flag) as is the lack of personal details. I put the phone down immediately.

Fed Ex scam. Haven’t even ordered anything. Picked up for 1 second and it ended, leaving a voicemail in both English and Chinese, saying something about 2 parcels and press different numbers for different enquiries, supposedly so your voicemail service calls them back when you press.

Got a call from this number, can’t find any search about this number. Too noisy! First said it was from Sky, (knew my name and address), said my contract ended now in begin of April, I corrected saying it was only next month. Then she said they needed to do some checks to see if they could offer me a better/cheaper deal and asked me how much I pay monthly. Flagged as scam on Samsung so did not pick up. Have a business phone so would not expect personal life insurance call. Honestly, GDPR was a waste of time, penalising honest businesses but scammers and thiefs are safe? Just don't pick up a number you don't know, why would your Insurance call you? They never do.
