This number has called me nine time over the past seven days on my mobile - the number of which I only give out to friends and relatives. I have never answered it and blocked it after the first call. It never leaves a message and today when I tried to ring it back it didn't give a company name but said (in a very strong American accent), "Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line and we will connect you with the next available agent". I stayed on the line for six minutes and then

Automated call from 19 advised me that the call was from HMRC and a law suit was being brought against me and to press 1 to speak to my case officer. Hung up as this is an obvious scam and the call was made to a business number.

I received a recorded message from this number, a robotic voice informed me that there were unusual transactions on my bank card and two amounts were mentioned. Then I was asked to press 1 to check the details of the purchase, I did not press any response button, but deleted the message and checked on this facility. It seems to be a scam trying to make contact with my account.

SCAM - The person contacts in order to buy things sold online. They ask for your IBAN number, the name of your bank, your address and then they sent a fake email saying that they have transferred money to your account. You just have to send the item and email the receipt to the provided email address and then your money will be transferred. Don't fall for the trick.

This line should belong to some company, but no remark on internet about it. Haven't found any info for this one, does anyone have some experience with this number? Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Have checked also different formats of this number, but no luck. As people do search for this number, it should be used, so be aware - and checked also similar numbers, sometimes reported as ambulance chasers - car accidents (=insurance business).

Fraud. I got a recorded message in an American accent saying that a criminal case has been filed against me for tax evasion. I think I am probably stupid enough to accept this and panic, but I don't believe it and burst out laughing. I think the accent tipped me of 'cause the patter was quite believable(NOT!).
