Caller said he was from Home Appliance Care. He addressed me by a false name I had given to a "lifestyle survey company" some time ago. He told me his records show that as my washing machine warranty was about to expire he would renew it. When I asked him where he got my details from he terminated the call. The number was not recognised when I dialled it. How can you trust a company which spoofs its telephone number.

Saying that my computer is running lots of issues when connecting to Internet and can damage my system. The lady with a strong Indian accent called Alice Williams (yes, I asked her name) asked me to log into my PC to solve these. This number calls me constantly throughout the day regarding financial services. The first time I answered as it is from a dialing code of my local area. When I asked where they were based she said in Hinckley which is my home town. I asked her a couple of questions regarding my local area and she couldn't answer them.
