I have caller ID. The number 00349441210763 was shown which immediately changed to 01213140763, so I suspect the number was spoofed. The first number was probably spoofed also, as I have international calls barred. The caller had a thick foreign accent and I did not understand everything that was said. I was asked to confirm that I had a Pay-as-you-go SIM from a particular network (note the call was to my land line). I am wary of giving details to an unexpected caller. Fraud. Automated call pertaining to be from Amazon stating that £300 will be taken from your account for a phone your have purchased. However, if you haven't then hit button 1. If you do you'll either be put through on a premium rate number to one of their criminals who will want your bank details of credit card number in order for them to "cancel the order" but will really use this to steal even more cash from you. They are also using other 01475 numbers.
Recieved a text called number on the back of my card and verified it was a genuine HSBC number they confirmed and reassured me and they stated that I was wise to check. Good on HSBC they had noted 3 bogus transactions.
