SCAM sounds like background noise in a call centre, couldn't understand who she was saying she was from and sounded as if Indian/Pakistani.

Foreigh accent, claimed that an investment I had made (I haven't!) in a company (that I've never heard of) has made profit and he can help get me the money. Told him this was obviously a scam so he said "Why you think so?". I told him because I'm not an idiot and he obviously is to think I'd fall for it, then hung up. Blocked.

I got an email from PayPal, saying I purchased a cell phone & that payment is now due. I called the number on the invoice from PayPal, a man with a thick indian accent answered & struggled to speak good English to explain himself. He asked me for the invoice number & said that a purchase was made IN MY NAME although my opening remarks were 'I don't have a PayPal account but I received an email requesting payment for a purchase' - when I asked him 'what's my name?' he hung up! Fraud Indian call centre for bank frauds. Try to get card numbers and run up transactions which they tell you are 'cancelling frauds' but you are being tricked into allowing the payments. They have the old BT customer database, so have names, addresses and bank details from 10+ years back
SCAM - Claiming I ordered an iPhone 13 through Amazon, decided to play along. He requested that I put him on speaker phone so he could run through filling a form in. Asked for him to send it through email, he said I (as in myself) am not authorised for email, whatever that means. I queried again that I assume I will be notified through email, and for some reason continued to state I am not authorised. I can't believe the guy actually thought I would enter a random URL in to fill in a form, must be nuts!

someone claiming to be from O2 called me just now from this number. They were offering a 30% discount on all my bills until the end of my contract, asked me if I wanted to go ahead and told me I would get two text messages with a code I needed to read back to them. Usefully, the text messages were from O2 (the caller had gone into my profile and done a forgotten password which triggers the texts) but the messages said very clearly not to share the info with anyone, even if they claim to be working from O2.

Had a voicemail from this no. (very scripted). Northern Gas & Power trying to sell energy. I don't think it's a scam (and if legit their reviews on trustpilot seem reasonable). That said it was an unsolicited sales call, and I don't look after the gas and electricity anyway!
