I got a text asking about a suspicious transaction and when I replied 'N' they called me from this number. Robotic automated call initially (which worried me) but soon spoke to humans who confirmed a few transactions and are now sending out a new card. A little inconvenient having no card but much better than losing approx. £1k. Great job, Tesco Bank.
Missed call and when I called them back an automated voice told me I may be able to claim compensation for late flights. I'm assuming they wanted a cut for their troubles but such claims can be done by yourself.

I repeated I was not prepared to disclose any information about me or my property to someone on the phone I did not know. He was polite and hung up. I did feel it was leading to a scam call

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases free boiler replacement scam). I recommend to block the whole 84305006xx range... A call came through from this number this morning. An Asian sounding man asked to speak to me by name stating he was calling from Credit Investigation Services with a view of making a payment plan to reduce my unsecured debt of ?17000. I explained that I had no unsecured debt and that as I was signed up to the telephone preference service, he should not be making unsolicited calls to me.
