got loads of calls, finally blacklisted them on my phone. calls come thru then when picked up..they just hang up. not tried calling back as it may be a premium number scam.
He offered to renew my van insurance, at a lower cost. My van insurance was not due for renewal yet he had a lot of details about me. However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. SCAM - the 3rd such similar text in as many days from different numbers. All had a link to a website that no doubt requests your bank details. In this case the email purported to be from HSBC informing me of a payment made on my card today. It had a helpful link to a site called cancel.banking-process, which funnily enough i did not click.
Text me a link about “important Coronavirus update in your area” but seems very sketchy considering it is normally the NHS who texts these so don’t click on it

I've been contacted by 5 other similar numbers all starting with '020806843**', male voice said "hello, hellloooo" and then my name before hanging up. I'm blocking all the numbers but they're changing the last two digits. Harassing behaviour and more than likely some type of scam.
I tried to book a room at The Principal Oxford Spires Hotel, Abingdon Road, OX1 4PS, Oxford and called a number 08448542910 indicated on their website. I had to call twice as there was an automated telephone service and no one was able to answer my phone calls. Last month I saw a charge of 1.38 GBP plus VAT on my phone bill!! What a wrong way to make money!! Looks like the hotel is doing that badly so they have to charge potential customers to simply book a room. According to the reviews on the above number

SCAM Called claims to be from BT and ask you to download Quick Support to test your connection. Once they get the 9 digit ID they can then see your screen They ask you to log into websites, copy the url to 'test' the connection. Luckily my pw auto logs in, so I didn't type it. Be wary as on the BT website it does say they wouldn't ask you to screen share
Claimed was from Carphone warehouse, wasted 30 mins of their time let them know i knew it was a scam and they got extremely abusive.
