A company who has clearly been given my contact details from a 3rd party days after I searched for car insurance quotes online. Wanted to update my details and inform me of any changes regarding MY life Insurance. Said obtained my details from the life insurance database. Rubbish, I do NOT have life insurance.

When i answer this call they ask for me by name, I confirm that s me, but then the call goes silent! After a few seconds I get that "BT lady" saying the caller ended the call. I don t think they mean to hang up, I d guess thier computer system does it by accident. when I looked up the number I found a plumber in Scotland! Im in Peterborough, so I doubt it s that.

Claimed to be from BT and noticed speed of internet was low because of probable virus. If I started up my PC, they would sort it out. Asian accent with English name like Terence Granger. I asked for tel number and as quick as a flash he gave me the above number. Obvious scammer.

On the face of it seems trustworthy - they were calling about a refund request I made to Thameslink . They had the correct dates and details . We will see of the money hits my account ! I called the number back and the recorded message said they were an outsourcing company working on behalf of many clients . So that explains the various companies named by other contributors. They are apparently called Teleperformance.
