A female voice asking me whether I have been involved in a car accident. It was obviously a scam. I asked her to get lost, and then blocked the number.

Said it was about PPI but then wanted previous address/current and date of birth, when i refused to give date of birth for a form to be posted, the male caller became aggressive

Just as with e-mails, such action confirms to the originator that the number has a human on the end and then, the response is saved for use by the cold caller company that uses it. Although displayed STD might lead you to believe its originator s location (in this case, London), geographic numbers can be applied for by a company regardless of actual location. So they called me earlier today claiming to be Virgin. They were offering me a deal to upgrade my services and I was wary of them for quite a while, however they never asked me for any bank details only to confirm personal information so I proceeded with the call. After seeing the reviews here I got worried after by how much they knew about my account so I called Virgin, who confirmed it was in fact their marketing team and the deal I was offered had been genuine and that upgrades were indeed in the works.

Got rude and aggressive when i tried to question how they got my details and when i asked for their Consumer Credit license number. Started swearing, name calling and laughing. THESE HAVE TO BE STOPPED!!!!!

called at 1.50pm Saturday 3 June, but they hung up when the phone was answered.

This is optical express, phoning to arrange appointments. Not a cold caller and not trying to sell you anything.

This bunch of idiots continue to make silent calls throughout the day. There is no-one there on pick up. When I call back I get a voicemail saying you were called by the above company and they will call again later. Extremely annoying!!!!!

This is Free Green Energy - possbly to do with some Free Solar Panel scam thing

this number calls a few times a day and hang up when you answer its a joke and should be stopped.
