I declined both options and checked my account online to find, surprise, surprise, there were no such transactions.

Received a call from this Dublin number. With an American voice, I was told that I owed money to the HMRC and I had not responded to a letter I had been sent. Clearly a scam.

SCAM. The caller was a woman claiming to be based in Cape Town, South Africa. She further claimed to be from the energy company – E.ON – that supplies me with electricity. She knew or guessed my first name, and asked for confirmation of details of my name and mailing address. However, she did NOT ask for – nor did she receive – my e˗mail address, my account number, or any bank or credit card or debit card details. Furthermore, she did not ask for immediate payment. Have nothing to do with this number.

None of my personal details were confirmed with me and they wouldn't let me ask any questions. Obviously their tactic is to rush you in to the "cancellation" process as it's urgent. Claiming to be O2 and needs my one-time code sent by O2-UK to see if I am eligible for 40% off. O2 would not call me at 9:54 in the morning and send me messages to operate on a eligibility check on the spot, like dude, this is quite obvious scam, no?

Spammer. Ignore and block. They are using an autodialer and claim to be from a UK company which is big BS IF YOUR NOT BUSY TALK TO THEM. Keep them busy so they cannot harass any other people. It's fun try it. I always consider it a goal when you can get them to swear at you lollol
