SCAM Recording of a lady with a pleasant voice told me that my phone and internet connection was to be cut off due to suspected criminal activity on my provider's service. Asked me to press button 1 to speak to someone. Didn't of course. Reported it to BT instead

TAXES / HMRC - recorded message saying have hmrc tax fraud lodged against my name and to press 1 to be put through to officer assigned to my case. Didn't bother as had similar last year regarding supposed unpaid tax which freaked me out and I fell for it but eventually ignored the 2nd call. Have now blocked number. Glasgow area
Just to report same issues as other people have complained about. They just keep phoning - started with once a day but then increased to at least three times a day.
Pretends to be "Call Blocking Company" and your subscription is running out.

I could not make the woman out very well. She said she was from Waterfront something. I was at work and had no time to ask any further questions. If I look the number up it is from a restaurant called Sea Fish.

SCAM - very unpleasant call. Recorded message on voicemail (electronic voice) said if I didnt answer I would be arrested immediately. So far no arrest, so looks like I havent woken up in a dystopian nightmare where the police issues threatening electronic messages for 'criminals' afterall. Could be very frightening for some.

Just had to blick this number. This number calls persistently and has become too intrusive, interrupting at inconvenient times. I don t know the number. I answered it just once but there was only a very short recording with a woman s voice, so brief I was unable to even catch what she was saying.
HMRC fake scam arrest warrant
Automated voice delivered initial message re: an accident I may have had in the last 3 years. When the message was delivered I was then asked to confirm I had been in an accident. I hung up and blocked the call at this point.

I once answered the phone and asked who is it and they automatically cut off. I find it strange how this is becoming the norm all of a sudden. I refuse to change my number though if you call me, I think it is only right that you introduce yourself first. Since they did not I know they have something to hide!!! Just no, sweet talked into the card (petrol voucher purposes, so not worth it) cancelled in the allotted time, sent the card back and everything with a nice letter, this was 2 months ago. Just had my banks fraud department call to say they are trying to take money from my account (VoL didnt respond to my quitting email or letter btw) so I have had to cancel my bank card and am waiting for a new one. Do not trust them, it really isnt worth it.

Automated call to say that there had been fraudulent activity on our bank account. Then gave 2 amounts. £250 and £1000. (or so).from Amazon. We have had 3 similar calls in the last 3 days. All from different numbers. No money has gone from our account and no bank name was given and therefore I presume that it was a scam.

There is no point in reporting to the TPS or OFCOM these numbers that any scammer can buy. The telecoms company Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd That sold this number also supply a list of phone numbers to call. You are on that list if this number phoned you. Best is to get something like a Panasonic KX-TGJ420E. And leave a Google Maps review for the telecoms company.

Marc called, wanted to know who is in charge of the energy bills, said he was from a company about comparing energy prices. Told him we ve done it all already through U-switch and asked him to remove our number from the database. It remains to be seen if we called by them again.
Claiming to be from my Internet service provider but could not give me any information to demonstrate that this was genuinely the case - didn't know my name and when challenged could not prove who they were calling from. Told me there had been issues with Internet connection in my area in the last few weeks and when I said mine has been fine they then changed tack and said they were calling to protect me from hackers. I cut them off and suggested my ISP contacts me over email if there's a genuine problem.
SCAM - claimed to be Sky Technical ... letting me know my broadband speed had been slow ... as if they take time out to check individuals broadband speed. Indian call centre quite obviously- said his name was Steve Anderson !!!
