Yesterday afternoon (30.09.2014) I entered my details and mobile number on a site I was purchasing goods from through Amazon. Within the hour I received a call from this number. I didn t answer it as I didn t recognise the number. Instead I did a search for the number and came across this site with the exact same number identified as being related to a scam. I blocked the number straight away...

I believe this is a scam. Caller, female, claimed to want to help me. Otherwise my Amazon prime account would be auto-renewed at a given price. The price she quoted is different...

This number rang and as soon as I picked up the line went dead.

One of over 30 calls I have received from various numbers. Seems to be something to do with information that has been trawled from the Motor Insurers database MIB ?

This is my second call the first one I blocked, has as this one been, both calls from people "acting on behalf of diabetes UK" i didn t let the conversation last as I asked where my number was obtained from, the guy said a survey as that s how they get them I must have opted in, I know very well with all surveys I either don t complete or opt out of contact. I ve had a call from this number during the last year on several occasions, who rang off when my answer phone tripped in without actually leaving a message. At first I put it down to a miss-hit finger on a wrong key which can happen to anyone. But three times?Next time whoever calls I might decide to knock on their door (property photo listed which I recognise) to see why they keep calling?
